Activity Highlights

Our residents enjoyed our second annual carnival with yummy concessions like cotton candy, hot dogs, and Hawaiian punch! They all cheered as Administrator, Mark, stepped into the dunk tank and the residents took turns pitching the softball to dunk him. We enjoyed other booths with famous carnival games as well, like balloon dart pop!

We would like to thank Mary Grace and Christina Lewis of St. Vincent DePaul who came by and played bingo with our residents and brought special prizes for the winners. This was such a kind gesture and the residents had so much fun.

Our gardeners love planting flowers and did just that on National Flower Day!

We would like to thank our wonderful CNA’s who go out of their way daily to ensure our residents are cared for and loved. Each of them are a blessing to our facility! We celebrated our CNA’s during National CNA week with a yummy catered meal from Big Papa’s Smokehouse, t-shirts, and gifts. Not only do we celebrate them during this week but all throughout the year!

Kona Ice will be making a stop at Springfield Nursing and Rehab every Thursday from 1-2 pm, beginning June 15th until August 3rd. Stop by and cool off with a cup of Kona Ice!

We would also like to invite our resident families to our Independence Day celebration on July 3rd at 2pm. We will have light refreshments and live music from Elvis himself! Please bring a lawn chair if you are planning to attend.
