Veterans Day
In lieu of Veterans Day we would like to thank our very own Veterans a wonderful Veterans Day and thank all for serving our Country. Elvis I. who served 11 years and was just 24 years of age when he entered the Army, toured two times in Germany and 2 times in Korea. During his time in Korea (late 1960’s) he was a helicopter machine gun operator and in Germany a Tank Commander. It was very interesting listening to his experiences throughout his army career. Michael G. who served 3 years was contracted through Douglas Aircraft and he built jets for the Vietnam War, he was also a civil servant and loaded 750’s and 500’s bombs in Napalm for the Marines. Billy B. served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He worked 19 months overseas and inspected flotation devices such as life vests and life rafts.
